3D Systems ProX 200MRL has two of these LPBF machines. Both machines have been highly modified at MRL to include a range of co-axial sensors to perform in-situ measurements of meltpool stability and health to predict how defects in parts may affect the number of in-service cycles the part will be able to survive. In addition, MRL modified one system with a heated build plate to allow for greater control of thermal gradients to assist with the accumulation of residual stresses.
Both machines are outfitted with a reactive materials filter making them suitable for 3D printing reactive materials. We have outfitted one of the printers with an upgraded 400 W laser as opposed to the originally installed 300 W laser.
